Comprehensive Sketches brief:

breaking down main information (year, months, weeks, days, date, hour and minutes) > product is big (wall calendar) > product waste too much paper > calendar turned into a box > idea rejected (busy people = no time to build boxes) > tried to make it small > but still too much paper to waste > got rid of the comments area where people write down appointment details > final.

My calendar aim: make it as clear as possible, neat, legible, easy and quick to use.

Those are my initial sketches for my calendar. 

in the first sketch I was thinking of doing my calendar as an one unit calendar, where the lower part would be specified to write down some no

tes for each day.  The measuring tape is classified by four parts, each part resembles a week of the diet.  But then I asked my self How I can write what to do in each day? ...  it's difficult because people will not be able to know what they have to do in that day. 

The second Sketch is more specified than the first one. I was thinking of making a continous  measuring tape  that can be folded. The measuring tape has four different parts, each part would represented like week, and a week would be divided into seven parts, which stands for the days.

This is one of the previous sketches that i did for the calendar design. In this sketch i was more concerned about the design rather than the system.
After the feedbacks from my instructor i started to work on my system.

After i discussed with some of my colleagues about the colors scheme i have.

One suggested to have the black instead of the dark gray because it will have and emphasis the hierarchy of the over all design

and the upper images shows how it was the gray and the black works in the over all design!

And this is how the black works with the present of color, pink.

I believe the black does present hierarchy.

this is the key for my Calendar =)
