P1.1 Research

For the first project of the print class we are supposed to design a calendar. So I started doing research about calendars, and the first thing that I researched is the calendar definition: A calendar is a system of organizing days for a social, religious, commercial or administrative purpose. This organization is done by giving names to periods of time – typically days, weeks, months and years.

Also I researched about different types of calendar and they are
Lunisolar, Solar, Lunar. After doing this research about calendars in general I started to brainstorm to come up with concept. So I came up with three concepts for my calendar Islamic calendar, Chinese zodiac calendar and Braille system for blind people.
And after doing more research I decided to do a calendar about Chinese zodiac.
