Mario, P2.process/a
The ten categories I chose for my 100 pictures were: clothing (shoes), food (sweets), cars (front view), phones, furniture (couches), handbags, earrings, watches, houses, and pens. I started taking some of my pictures at school and then I went out with some classmates to take pictures at the mall. Once I got the hundred pictures, I used Photoshop to crop them to the 8cm x 8cm squares. The process was fun but a little tedious. This exercise made me pay more attention to details about everyday artifacts that people use in their daily lives. It was interesting to see similarities between objects that corresponded to two different people.
The next step was about working in groups and analyzing the different pictures in order to come up with a system where the images were sorted by categories and subcategories. More details about that project were posted last week as a group.
Now, I have to do research about the differences between lifestyles and personality. I will talk more about that next…
