data visualisation

Here are some charts that I think have some good ideas embedded in them that I can apply to my own chart.

I am especially looking for charts that include various variables all linked together in a clear manner.

I thought this one was interesting because the axes embeds multiple layers of information...

This chart is divided into different stages and I thought I could this could apply to the 3 trimesters in a pregnancy.

Here, several parts make up a whole, so this is good for combining different variables. It also communicates different layers of information.

Circular charts appeal to me because pregnancy is more like a cycle. Also a circle is a more organic and user-friendly shape. I am not basing that information on anything factual though, just my feeling. I will have to do some research on that theory though. I like the color coding in the chart because it makes it easier to navigate from one data set to another.

This chart is interesting because it has many different sections which relate to one whole set of information. I think this allows for a more thorough communication, but it is admittedly more complex, so one would have to think about their target audience first.
