involving the viewer more

Ordinary calendars involve the audience looking and at the most flipping a page. The best calendars I have seen require and encourage the viewer to interact with the document.

Different interactions could be:
Peeling layers away

Forming a jigsaw puzzle

Coloring in a specific space

Filling in personal information

Popping bubble wrap

I would like my viewer to be involved with their calendar, if this is at all possible. However I must admit that I think the most important function of a calendar is to inform, so if an interaction is not possible then it is not so much of a big deal...
